About Metapcalip
Metapcalip is an independent candle and craft workshop studio in Leipzig’s Südvorstadt — small batches, open benches, and teaching for adults.
Metapcalip grew from a habit of making candles for friends and neighbours who wanted something quieter than mass-market jars. The studio on Karl-Liebknecht-Straße gives that work a proper home: ventilation for pour days, shelving for curing, and a scent desk that is not squeezed beside a till.
We believe craft education should stay practical. Guests leave knowing how to trim a wick, why a first burn matters, and how fragrance load changes with wax type. Metapcalip does not claim miracle wellness properties or overnight business plans — only careful making and honest materials.
Leipzig suits this pace. People walk in after work, ask about a scent they smelled in a café, or book a Saturday pour with a friend. The neighbourhood keeps the studio grounded; we source vessels and packaging with local suppliers when we can, and we keep hours that match real city life rather than late-night retail theatre.
